The Breeder Agrees:

That this puppy is in good health at the time of sale. The buyer will have 72hrs in which to have the puppy examined by their own veterinarian. If the puppy is found to be ill by a licensed veterinarian and is to be returned due to illness, a letter from the veterinarian is required. This includes death or illness from any health condition deemed to be present prior to leaving the seller’s premises (Wellwood Poms). Buyer shall assume any expenses associated with returning the puppy to the seller. The seller will, at the seller's discretion, refund the purchase price, return the dog to the buyer in healthy condition, OR exchange the dog for another dog of equal value. At no time and under no circumstances will the Breeder be responsible for any veterinary expenses incurred by the buyer.

This animal is warranted against FATAL GENETIC Defects for 3 years from the date of birth. Should this puppy be determined to be suffering from a fatal defect deemed to be hereditary (within 3 years from the date of birth), Wellwood Poms will replace the puppy with one of the same value when one is available after notification and written verification has been furnished to the Breeder by TWO independent veterinarians. The breeder will not be responsible for any veterinary costs at anytime.

We cannot guarantee that your puppy will never develop any health problems, just as a pediatrician cannot guarantee that a child will never develop any health problems in the future. Some things are just not able to be predicted. Our parents are free of diseases, disorders, and health problems; otherwise we would not breed them. That means our puppies are less likely to develop problems. If anything does occur, you are required to inform us so we can evaluate the parents and the other puppies from that litter in an attempt to determine the cause of the ailment and to eliminate the issue from our breeding program.

Breeder does NOT GUARANTEE against COCCIDIA, GIARDIA, CAMPYLOBACTER (typically dormant single celled bacterial parasites common in puppies) or for final adult weight, color, breeding ability, show potential or against overbites, under bites, patella issues, hernias, trachea issues or for undescended testicles. Seller agrees to notify buyer if they or the vet discover any of the above problems prior to sale. The Breeder states that the puppy has received the following vaccinations – One 3-way Vaccine for Distemper, Canine Hepatitis and Parvovirus. Your health record will inform you of when a booster is due, your puppy will need 2 more series of puppy vaccinations and a rabies vaccine, then yearly boosters. We de-worm puppies at 3, 5 and 7 weeks of age. Please see your puppy’s health record for details on the health care your puppy has received while with the breeder.

The Buyer Agrees:

That this puppy will be given adequate and proper shelter and housed securely indoors. This dog shall not be neglected, allowed to roam free, or be mistreated in any manner. The puppy shall receive proper veterinary care throughout its life, receiving annual inoculations. The puppy shall receive proper nutrition and care shall be taken to maintain its proper weight. Buyer agrees to give the dog proper training and socialization. Buyer agrees to never sell or surrender this dog into a dog fighting institution, testing center or shelter.

The Buyer agrees to finish all puppy vaccines before taking their puppy out in public, letting their puppy on public sidewalks and grasses, or letting their puppy be touched by people outside of the family. This reduces the chance of your puppy picking up a communicable disease such as parvo.

The Buyer agrees to return the dog to the Breeder if for any reason the Buyer no longer wants to or is unable to keep the dog. Breeder agrees to either assist Buyer in finding another suitable home where the dog will receive proper care or to accept the dog back at any time with no refund to be given to the Buyer as Breeder would accept responsibility for the dog and will be responsible for the future cost of care including vet care and training. The Buyer will notify the Breeder of any changes of address and will maintain contact with the seller throughout the life of this dog.

______Buyer agrees not to breed this dog. Spaying/neutering is required by 1 year of age.

This puppy will be registered with limited registration and if prior to the dog’s first birthday, the Buyer feels that this puppy is indeed show or breeding quality and wishes to show or breed this puppy, and the Breeder agrees, the limited registration can be lifted by the breeder for an additional fee to be determined at a later date by the breeder. Limited registration in no way prevents this puppy from participating in any CKC event except for the conformation ring.

______Buyer has purchased full registration rights and if they choose to breed the puppy they agree to do so ethically and responsibly keeping in mind the health and safety of the dog and the resulting offspring. With full registration, puppy is eligible for CKC sanctioned events including the conformation ring and if bred with another CKC registered dog of the same breed, offspring may be eligible for registration through the CKC. Buyer agrees to notify seller of any and all titles earned by this puppy.

No guarantees or warranties, expressed or implied, are given by Wellwood Poms, the Breeder, except those stated herein. Breeder warrants and agrees that they are the lawful owner of this puppy and are alone responsible for entering into this contract with the Buyer.

By signing below, both parties, Breeder and Buyer, agree to abide by the contents of this contract.
